Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals. This position requires a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalised care and assistance.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Provide medication administration as prescribed, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
- You will monitor complex health needs, including peg feeding. Training provided.
- Support clients with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
- Offer companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive environment.
- Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Implement care plans tailored to individual client needs.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in condition.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive care.
Skills
- Experience in care is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of assisted living practices and principles.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to demonstrate empathy and patience when working with clients.
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices is an advantage.
- A willingness to learn and adapt to the evolving needs of clients.
