Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals. This position requires a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalised care and assistance.

Duties

  • Assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Provide medication administration as prescribed, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
  • You will monitor complex health needs, including peg feeding. Training provided.
  • Support clients with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive environment.
  • Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Implement care plans tailored to individual client needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in condition.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive care.

Skills

  • Experience in care is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of assisted living practices and principles.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to demonstrate empathy and patience when working with clients.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of dementia care practices is an advantage.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to the evolving needs of clients.
