FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
Meercat Ltd is a fast-growing Internet company. We need another Multilingual Support person with excellent knowledge of English and at least one other language (German, French, Spanish, and/or Dutch). We are successfully trading in Europe and North America.

To thrive in this role, you’ll need to like variety, work independently and in a team, communicate well, and be extremely organised, even if you’re working from home! We are looking for a motivated individual with a proven track record in linguistic skills. Customer Service experience would be useful, however not critical as full training will be given. The languages we deal with on a daily basis are English, German, French, Spanish, Dutch, Swedish and Polish.

You may have experience from a different field than small business or technology but will have a proven ability to work under pressure and prioritise. The right candidate will play an integral part in the future expansion of our company.

Responsibilities involve :

  • Handle customer support with most queries being via email
  • General translation work
  • Marketing assistance
  • Maintaining product descriptions on our website
  • We are looking for a team player who can work with minimum supervision!

You will need :

  • Sales support experience is desirable, but not mandatory
  • The desire to make a real difference in a small company, and to have some fun along the way
  • Have a keen eye for accuracy
  • Language fluency (written) in at least 2, ideally 3 of these languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Dutch
  • Very good computer skills
  • Flexible approach to work

The diversity of this role means you will be involved in many aspects of the company and will be a key part of a small team. From time to time, you may be required to do any work within your capability that the company requires of you. The company also offers a performance-related bonus for the customer service team.

At the moment, we are looking to fill a part-time or full-time position, including weekend work (working Friday-Tuesday with Wed/Thu off).

Ideally 28 hours per week, but will consider 20-40 hours per week for the right candidate.
