We pride ourselves on our efficient, high-performing warehouse and logistics operation, and we’re now looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Warehouse Operative to join our team.
Role Overview:
The Warehouse Operative will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our busy warehouse. You’ll be involved in goods-in, order picking, pallet preparation, and general stock handling, using a forklift truck where required. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role that requires accuracy, reliability, and a proactive work ethic.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, check, and unload deliveries
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders for dispatch
- Load and unload delivery vehicles using forklift trucks and pallet trucks
- Ensure goods are stored safely and correctly in the warehouse
- Prepare pallets for courier and haulier collection
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment
- Assist with regular stock checks and inventory control
- Liaise with the office and transport teams to ensure timely dispatch
- Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies
Requirements:
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience (minimum 1 year preferred)
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Punctual, reliable, and positive attitude to work
- Good communication and time-management skills
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience working with pallet networks or couriers
- Familiarity with order picking systems or handheld scanners
- Knowledge of landscaping or construction products
