All teachers will undertake Personal Tutor responsibilities and will receive training and support to ensure their success in this area. The Personal Tutor has the key role of managing the pastoral and academic welfare of all members of the tutor group. They are the first and most regular contact for students, parents/carers and subject staff.
Work-life balance and staff well-being is a priority at OHA. Wellbeing Wednesdays allow team members to finish early on the last Wednesday of the term. Leadership is supportive, and understanding and places a high value on communication and staff and student voice. Time off for training and personal events is granted at every possible opportunity.
