FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting. This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to follow care plans and a commitment to enhancing the well-being of those in our care.

Duties

• Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
• Support residents in maintaining their independence and dignity while providing emotional support.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
• Follow individual care plans and report any changes in residents’ conditions to the nursing staff.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and assist with administrative tasks as needed.
• Participate in training sessions and team meetings to enhance skills and knowledge related to care provision.

Experience

• Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; we welcome candidates who are eager to learn.
• Strong IT skills for maintaining records and communicating effectively within the team.
• Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication with residents and colleagues.
