Job Overview
As a Health Care Assistant, you’ll support people with their daily routines and wellbeing, either in a care home or through home care visits. You’ll work with colleagues to provide respectful, person-centred support guided by each individual’s care plan.
Responsibilities
Assist with personal care, meals, mobility and everyday activities while promoting dignity and independence.
Follow care plans, observe changes in wellbeing and share relevant updates with the appropriate colleagues.
Communicate kindly with the people you support, their families and your team.
Your impact: By providing attentive support in line with care plans, you help people feel safer, respected and more comfortable in their daily lives.
Use basic IT to record care information accurately and maintain clear handovers.
Qualifications
Good communication skills and a considerate, reliable approach.
Sufficient English to understand instructions, communicate clearly and record information.
Basic IT skills, or willingness to learn the systems used in the role.
Experience in a care home or home care is useful, but not essential.
Driving ability may be needed for home care visits; requirements depend on the role.
