Make a real difference in your community
At KPSS, we support people to live the lives they choose, as independently as possible. We’re growing, and we’re looking for kind, reliable and experienced female Support Workers to join our team full-time.*
As a Support Worker, you’ll help people with whatever support they need to live well. That could mean visiting people in their own homes, supporting people in supported living, helping someone get out and about in their community, or anything in between. Every day is different, and the support you give will depend on each person’s needs, goals and choices.
You’ll mainly work across South Lanarkshire, including Hamilton, Blantyre, Cambuslang and Rutherglen.
Experience required. For this post, we’re looking for people with previous experience in a care or support role. You’ll get a full induction and ongoing training to help you settle in and keep developing.
What you’ll do
Depending on the people you support, your role may include:
- Personal care, delivered in a way that protects dignity and privacy
- Supporting with medication
- Helping with meals, shopping and nutrition
- Household tasks and support to manage a home
- Support with money matters and budgeting, following company policy
- Helping people access healthcare and attend appointments
- Supporting people to take part in social activities, hobbies, work, learning and their local community
- Encouraging relationships with family and friends
- Building confidence and life skills so people can do more for themselves
- Communicating in whatever way works best for each person, and promoting their wellbeing
- Respecting equality and diversity, and acting in a culturally sensitive way
- Recognising and reporting adult protection concerns
- Recording progress accurately on our systems
What we’re looking for
- Female applicants only*
- A genuine passion for helping people live independently
- Previous experience in a care or support role, such as home care, supported living, a care home or similar
- A full UK driving licence – this post involves driving
- Someone who lives in or near South Lanarkshire, so you can get to work reliably and on time
- Able to work the full 46 hours per week from your start date, with no visa restrictions on your working hours
- Availability to start soon
- The right to work in the UK (see below)
What you’ll get
- £13.45 per hour
- 28 days’ holiday (pro rata)
- Full paid induction and ongoing training
- Clear routes for career progression
- Early access to part of your pay with Wagestream
- 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme through Health Assured and the Wisdom app, including health checks, wellbeing tools and legal advice
- Up to 6 free, confidential counselling sessions (phone, online or face to face)
- Bright Exchange discounts through the Wisdom app
- Blue Light Card high street discounts
- Free mortgage consultation with McCusker Mortgage Solutions
Benefits are non-contractual and may be changed or withdrawn at any time.
Right to work and visa sponsorship
Applicants must already be in the UK and be able to work the full 46 hours per week from their start date. This means we can’t consider applicants whose visa limits their working hours, such as Student visa holders during their course, or people looking to take this post as a second job alongside sponsored employment elsewhere.
We hold a sponsor licence and may be able to offer sponsorship for this post, but our Certificates of Sponsorship are very limited. Under current Home Office rules, sponsorship for this role is only available to:
- people who already hold a Health and Care Worker (Skilled Worker) visa as a care worker or senior care worker and want to move their sponsorship to us, or
- people already in the UK on another eligible visa without hour restrictions, after they have worked for us legally in a care role for at least three months.
Certificates of Sponsorship will be available from the end of November 2026, so start dates for anyone transferring their sponsorship will be from that point. To allow enough time for the process:
- if you’re transferring an existing Health and Care Worker visa, it must be valid until at least 31 December 2026, and you must be ready to submit your visa application promptly once we assign your Certificate of Sponsorship
- if you’ll need to switch from another visa after three months with us, your current visa must have at least 6 months remaining when you apply
We can’t sponsor applicants from outside the UK or people on a Visitor visa.
Any offer of sponsorship is not guaranteed. It depends on the Home Office rules in force at the time, the availability of Certificates of Sponsorship, our sponsor licence status, and you meeting all eligibility requirements, including English language, salary and visa validity. If the rules or our circumstances change, including during your first three months of employment, we may be unable to offer sponsorship. If you are not able to obtain or keep the right to work in the UK, we will be unable to continue your employment.
Please tell us your current visa type and expiry date when you apply.
Internal applicants
This post is being recruited to increase the size of our staff team, so we are not able to consider applications from current employees of KPSS or any other company within Keane Premier Group, including Care Homes. Current employees interested in changing their hours, location or role are welcome to speak to their line manager.
Important information
This post is subject to PVG Scheme membership and two satisfactory references. You’ll also need to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within the required timescale for your role.
- The people supported in this post have asked for, or need, intimate personal care from a female worker for reasons of privacy, dignity, culture or religion. Being female is therefore an occupational requirement for this post under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.
It’s More Than a Job
Our team is our greatest asset, and we work hard to give each member of our amazing staff the opportunity to grow within their role. We constantly give the chance to upskill and develop our employees through extensive training programmes, and because of this focus on the future, we don’t require prior experience in several key roles.
All we ask is a commitment to care and real desire to improve our resident’s and service users lives through hard work and compassionate understanding.
