Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting patients and residents within care homes or providing home care services. Responsibilities
● Assist patients and residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support
● Support the implementation of individualised care plans under supervision of healthcare professionals
● Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment
● Maintain accurate records of care provided, observations, and any changes in health status
● Ensure the safety and comfort of clients at all times, adhering to health and safety regulations
● Assist with medication administration as per training and guidelines
● Support with light domestic tasks within care settings or clients’ homes, including cleaning and laundry
● Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate care delivery
Requirements
● Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
● Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between clients’ homes or care facilities
● Good command of English, both written and spoken, for effective communication
● Basic IT skills to update records and access relevant documentation
● Excellent communication skills with a caring and empathetic approach towards clients
● Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
● Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as required
