Proclaim Group has an excellent opportunity for an administrator to join our team as a Finance Assistant. Proclaim Group is a national, award-winning provider of rehabilitation solutions for individuals who have been injured and/or are absent from work.

This is an office-based role, requiring the successful candidate to work from our office in Hamilton, near Glasgow. Candidates must therefore be willing and able to commute to Hamilton.

Job Description:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our Finance & Information Team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, providing excellent customer service, and contributing to the smooth running of a busy finance function.

As a Finance Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the organisation’s financial operations, ensuring invoices, payments, records, and financial data are processed accurately and efficiently. Your work will help deliver an excellent service to both internal and external customers.

Duties include:

● Process supplier and customer invoices using Sage.

● Audit time records and assist with the preparation of customer invoices.

● Raise purchase orders and process payments in line with company procedures.

● Manage invoice queries and liaise with suppliers, customers, and colleagues to resolve issues promptly.

● Support credit control activities, including debt chasing and monitoring outstanding payments.

● Prepare and issue monthly customer reports.

● Process credit card expenses, mileage claims, and daily banking activities.

● Reconcile supplier and treatment provider statements.

● Assist with client account administration, including allocating and returning funds.

● Maintain accurate financial records and ensure data integrity across finance systems and databases.

● Support business continuity by providing cover for key finance processes when required.

● Contribute ideas for improving financial processes, efficiency, and controls.

Person Specification:

This position would ideally suit an individual with Finance & administrative experience who has experience using Sage or a similar accounting system.

To excel in this role, you should demonstrate:

● Previous experience in a finance, accounts or bookeeping role
