We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support and assistance to help residents maintain independent living. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for our clients by delivering personalised support tailored to their unique needs.

Responsibilities

● Assist residents with accessing the community, maintaining independence and personal relationships

● Administer medication as prescribed and ensure proper documentation of medication administration.

● Provide emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment.

● Support clients with mobility and transportation needs, including accompanying them to appointments or social activities.

● Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of each client.

● Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations.

● Document client progress and report any changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare personnel.

Experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

● Previous experience in supported living is desirable but not essential

● Knowledge of medication administration protocols is desirable but not essential.

● Certification in first aid is beneficial.

● Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.

● The role requires one sleep in shift per week.

● Shift pattern is negotiable.
