Salary:£12.71 an hour

Job Types:Permanent, Part-time

Location:Glasgow

Courts is looking for a new part time bartender to join the team.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with standard recipes and customer preferences
• Engage with guests in a courteous and attentive manner, providing excellent customer service
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards
• Monitor guest consumption and ensure responsible service of alcohol
• Restock bar supplies as needed, including glassware, garnishes, and beverages
• Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the POS system efficiently
• Assist in setting up and closing down the bar at the beginning and end of shifts
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods

Requirements

• Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service standards
• Excellent communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple orders efficiently
• Basic maths skills for handling payments and calculating bills accurately
• Proven time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy hours
• A valid permit or certification related to serving alcohol is advantageous but not mandatory for all locations
• A personable attitude with the ability to create a welcoming environment for all guests
