Salary: £18,000 to £29,000 per year

HOURS: Full-time, Part-time

FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

A car Mechanic who can work on diesel and petrol engines and can carry out engine overhauls including head replacement, timing chain, and belts, and be able to replace clutches and gearboxes.

We require a mechanic to visually inspect vehicles and carry out all mechanical/mot repairs to correct standards. The mechanic must be familiar with diagnostics and able to find faults.

Identify electrical problems using a variety of testing devices

Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools

Be able to use diagnostic tools to locate and rectify faults that have caused the engine. abs and airbag lights etc to illuminate

Be familiar with carrying out DPF regeneration by using different methods

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as an electrician & mechanic
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, and power tools & diagnostic machine
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve electrical & mechanical issues
