Whether your interest lies in primary, secondary, or special educational needs, we match you with a placement that reflects your career goals giving you a clear insight into the realities of teaching before committing to training.

Throughout the program, you’ll receive dedicated mentoring and professional development to build your confidence and competence in the classroom. From supporting learning and managing behavior to understanding how to plan engaging lessons, you’ll develop the practical skills essential for a successful teaching career. By the end of your placement, you’ll be well prepared to take the next step toward becoming a confident, capable educator.

We’re offering full-time Teaching Assistant positions for graduates at primary, secondary, further education and SEND Provision across Tameside local authority.

  • Start Date: Asap- End of July
  • Job Type: Full time – Monday to Friday
  • Pay: £500-£530 per week (Term-time only)

  • Be dedicated to the role for the full academic year through to July 2026.
