FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistants/Support Workers to join our team. This role offers an opportunity to provide high-quality care and support to individuals in various settings, including care homes, assisted living facilities, and home care environments. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine desire to improve clients’ quality of life through personalised care and support. Duties

• Assisting clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
• Supporting patients with medication administration in accordance with care plans
• Providing specialised care for individuals with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other cognitive impairments
• Preparing nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs
• Assisting with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
• Engaging clients in social activities and behavioural management strategies
• Documenting care provided and updating case management records accurately
• Driving clients to appointments or outings as required
• Collaborating with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care
• Responding promptly to emergencies with appropriate first aid procedures

Qualifications

• Previous experience in nursing homes, care homes, or home care environments is desirable
• Knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
• Certification in first aid is advantageous
• Experience with Alzheimer’s, dementia, hospice care, or behaviour management is beneficial
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and assist with mobility support
• Strong communication skills and a caring demeanour
• Valid driving licence for transportation duties
• Compassionate attitude with a commitment to patient-centred care
