Pay: £14.50 per hour + 25p per mile mileage allowance
Hours: Part-Time – Contracted Hours Available

Are you a caring, friendly person who enjoys spending time with others and helping people get the most out of everyday life?

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded home care provider looking for Community Support Workers / Companions to support adults living in their own homes across the Southport area.

This role is focused heavily on companionship, conversation, practical support and helping clients stay active and independent. From enjoying a cup of tea and a chat to helping with shopping, preparing a meal or accompanying someone to an appointment, you will have the time to build genuine relationships and make a meaningful difference.

While some clients may require occasional support with personal care, this is primarily a companionship and community-based support role, centred around promoting independence, confidence and wellbeing.

What You’ll Be Doing

No two days are exactly the same. Your role may include:

• Providing friendly companionship and conversation
• Spending quality one-to-one time with clients in their own homes
• Supporting clients with shopping, appointments and getting out into the community
• Preparing meals and encouraging good nutrition and hydration
• Helping with light housekeeping and everyday household tasks
• Encouraging hobbies, interests and social activities
• Providing reassurance and emotional support
• Supporting with medication where appropriate and following training
• Providing occasional assistance with personal care, depending on the client’s individual needs
• Helping clients maintain their independence, dignity and choice

Who We’re Looking For

You don’t necessarily need previous care experience. Full training and ongoing support are provided. What matters most is your personality and your desire to help others.

A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential.

You will also need flexibility to work contracted shifts between 7:00am and 9:30pm.
