FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in our care home . The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the wellbeing and independence of those in their care, ensuring they receive respectful and personalised assistance. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives through attentive and professional care.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
• Support clients with meal preparation and feeding where necessary
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment
• Maintain accurate records of care provided, adhering to organisational guidelines
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure personalised care delivery
• Assist with light domestic tasks such as laundry and cleaning to support a comfortable living space

Requirements

• Previous experience working within a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
• Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
• Ability to demonstrate excellent IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to show empathy, patience, and understanding
• must be able to work weekends, hours may include twilight 6pm-10pm shift but mainly working through the day.
• Reliable, organised, and able to work independently or as part of a team
• A genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals and improve their quality of life
