Farrington Care Homes Ltd operates a number of care and nursing homes across the UK, specialising in Elderly Care, Nursing Care, and Dementia Care.

We are currently looking for compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Care Assistants to join our team at Mayfield Residential Care Home. If you are passionate about supporting elderly residents and want to build a rewarding career in care, we would love to hear from you.

About the Role

As a Care Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting residents with their daily needs while promoting dignity, independence, and wellbeing. You will be part of a caring and supportive team committed to delivering high-quality care within a warm and friendly environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of care and support to residents on a daily basis
• Assist residents with personal care and daily living activities
• Administer medication in line with company policies and procedures
• Promote residents’ privacy, dignity, independence, and choice at all times
• Build positive relationships with residents, relatives, and colleagues
• Support the smooth running of the home by following company policies and care plans
• Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality is always upheld
• Represent the home professionally when speaking with families and visitors

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience within an elderly care home setting is preferred
• Understanding of care planning and person-centred care
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Well-organised, reliable, and able to work effectively within a team
• Flexible, self-motivated, and compassionate approach to care
• Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times

Qualifications

• Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is desirable
• Full training and opportunities for further development will be provided
