AmbitionPR is a multi-award-winning independent public relations agency representing UK and international clients across sectors including publishing, technology, travel, health and professional services.
We deliver a wide range of PR and communications campaigns including reputation management, media relations, copywriting, event coordination, product and brand launches, award campaigns and social media strategy. No two days are the same at the agency.
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic PR Intern to join our Books & Professional Services team at our Norwich office for a 3-month fixed-term paid internship.
This opportunity would suit someone looking to gain hands-on experience in public relations and publishing communications. You may be:
- a student who has recently completed A-levels
- an undergraduate currently studying at university
- or a recent graduate looking to build experience within the PR industry
A strong interest in non-fiction books, publishing, current affairs or literary culture would be a distinct advantage.
As part of the role, you will support the wider PR team across a variety of campaigns and gain exposure to day-to-day agency life. Responsibilities may include:
- Attending client meetings and taking notes
- Conducting research to support campaign planning
- Monitoring the news agenda and identifying relevant opportunities
- Drafting press releases, blog content and social media copy
- Pitching stories to journalists and media outlets
- Supporting award entry research and submissions
- Assisting with speaker, event and conference outreach
- Media monitoring and campaign reporting
The successful candidate will gain practical experience across media relations, publishing PR and campaign strategy.
The internship duration can be flexible depending on the successful candidate’s availability, but is expected to run from June-August.
This is a full-time internship (37.5 hours per week), based at our Norwich city centre office Monday–Thursday, with remote working available on Fridays.
