FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
ONLY FOR CANDIDATES WITH NURSING QUALIFICATION. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes or within their own homes, assisting with daily activities and promoting independence. Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Support clients with mobility and daily routines, encouraging independence where possible
• Help with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary requirements are met
• Maintain accurate care plans tailored to individual needs and preferences
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a friendly environment
• Assist with medication management as per care plans (training provided if necessary)
• Document observations and report any concerns regarding clients’ health or wellbeing
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care

Requirements

• Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided
• Good organisational skills to follow care plans accurately
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
• Basic IT skills for maintaining records and updating care documentation
• Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others’ wellbeing
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work various shifts as required, including some weekends if needed
