FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Senior Support Worker your primary responsibility will be to provide high-quality care and support to vulnerable individuals, including those with disabilities, mental health issues, or chronic illnesses.
Your role will involve:
- Providing Emotional and Practical Support: assisting individuals with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation, housekeeping, and personal care
- Leadership and Team Management: guiding and mentoring junior support workers to ensure they deliver excellent care and support
- Care Planning and Review: participating in the development and review of individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each service user
- Communication and Collaboration: working closely with healthcare professionals, families, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care and support
- Risk Assessment and Management: identifying and mitigating potential risks to ensure a safe and supportive environment
- Requirements and Qualifications
- Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care: or equivalent qualifications, such as NVQs or QCF diplomas (preferred)
- One year relevant experience
- Full UK Driving License (preferred)
- DBS Check (required)
Health and Care Visa Switch Opportunity
This role is available for Health and Care Visa switch for qualified applicants already in the UK. If you’re currently working or studying in the UK on a valid visa and meet the eligibility criteria, you may be able to switch to a Health and Care Visa.
To be eligible, you’ll need to:
- Meet the salary requirements: earn a minimum salary of £20,330 per year (Band 3 NHS salary scale) or £22,549 per year (Band 4 NHS salary scale)
- Have relevant qualifications and experience: hold a recognized qualification in health and social care, and have experience working in a support role
- Meet the English language requirements: demonstrate proficiency in English language
