We are a local independent coffee and food business with four thriving branches across South London. Our focus is on delivering high-quality food, excellent hospitality, and a warm, independent café experience. As we prepare to open our newest location this October, we are looking for a passionate and reliable Chef to join our team.
The Role
As Café Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking our menu items to a consistent, high standard. Our menu is centred around fresh, vibrant breakfast and lunch dishes – from English breakfasts, Eggs Royale, and Eggs Florentine to chicken quesadillas and poke bowls.
You will be the main chef on shift, working independently in the kitchen while ensuring smooth operations and excellent food quality. Training will be provided at our other locations ahead of the store launch.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and plate menu items to a consistent and high standard.
- Maintain excellent food hygiene and safety practices at all times.
- Manage kitchen stock, prep, and daily organisation.
- Work independently while ensuring smooth kitchen operations.
- Support the wider team during busy service periods.
- Contribute ideas to improve menus, specials, and kitchen efficiency.
- Ensure cleaning, tidiness, and compliance with all food safety regulations.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a chef in a café, restaurant, or similar kitchen environment.
- Ability to work independently and handle a busy kitchen.
- Reliable, punctual, and hard-working attitude.
- Good knowledge of breakfast and lunch service.
- Understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety.
- Flexibility and willingness to train on our specific menu.
