Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Pharmacy Assistant to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will support the pharmacist in providing a safe, efficient, and professional pharmacy service. This role involves working closely with customers, dispensing medication, managing stock, and helping maintain the smooth day-to-day running of the pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the sale and supply of over-the-counter medications and healthcare products.
• Provide excellent customer service and advice under the supervision of the pharmacist.
• Prepare and label prescriptions accurately.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all relevant healthcare and data protection regulations.
• Manage stock levels, including receiving, checking, and storing pharmaceutical deliveries.
• Ensure the pharmacy is clean, organised, and well-stocked at all times.
• Support with administrative tasks such as filing, answering phone calls, and managing repeat prescription requests.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures and company policies.

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• The candidate should possess basic IT skills and be capable of using electronic pharmacy systems.
• Knowledge of NHS services and local community health needs.
