You’ll support the learning and development of social workers, students and occupational therapists across Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster Adult Social Care. From nurturing newly qualified social workers to overseeing student placements and shaping practice excellence, you’ll be helping build a workforce that’s ready to meet the challenges of modern social care.

Working Style:

You’ll be based in the office 3 days a week, playing a key role in serving the local community. Whether you’re working on the frontline or behind the scenes, you’ll be part of a dedicated team making a real difference to residents’ lives.

What you’ll be doing:

You’ll be at the heart of our social work development programmes – planning, coordinating and delivering learning that drives improvement and supports progression weather that is in group settings or one to one.

You’ll lead the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) programme for newly qualified social workers, managing inductions, supporting reflective supervision, coordinating moderation panels and guiding both practitioners and managers through the process. You’ll also oversee the integrated degree apprenticeships and student placements, including the financial and practical aspects of delivery. You will be on hand to support Practice Educators and ASYE Assessors. You will support the running of the Best Interest Assessor and Approved Mental Health Professional Programmes.

You will be involved in designing and delivering learning interventions supporting practitioners stay up to date with legislation, policy and community needs. You will heavily support shaping our practices, promote best practice and champion our values across the social care workforce.

Working across two boroughs, you’ll collaborate with a range of professionals, represent the councils at local and regional forums and maintain accurate records to support evaluation and strategic planning.

You’re a qualified and registered social worker with a passion for learning, development and high-quality practice. You’ve got experience supporting others, whether through mentoring, training or managing development programmes with understanding of the pressures and possibilities of frontline social care.

You’re organised, confident and skilled in group facilitation, with the ability to design, deliver and evaluate engaging learning experiences. You understand professional frameworks such as the Professional Capabilities Framework, and you know how to apply them to real-world development.

You’ll also bring excellent communication skills, strong partnership working and a proactive mindset. You’re someone who builds trust easily, shares knowledge generously and always puts professional standards at the centre of what you do.
