Join our friendly and dedicated Care team as a Health Care Assistant, where you will be given the opportunity to expand on and learn clinical skills, care for children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, and support families through challenging times.

Training and career development
We are looking for caring and compassionate people with a Level 2 qualification in a care related subject, or a willingness to complete. Ideally you will have previous experience of working with children and young people with complex medical needs, and an understanding of the impact this has on a family.
You will need to have excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with teams and families at all levels and work in collaboration with other professionals. Although the role can be challenging at times, you will be joining a very supportive team who thrive on ensuring children are able to make the most of every day.
This role requires a flexible approach to working and will be led by the needs of the case load. There will also be potential opportunities to work in the community as the Demelza Care at Home service expands. Shifts will include rotation onto days, nights, weekends and public holidays, for which additional enhancement payments will be made.
