FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to manage our day-to-day accounting and finance requirements. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. A strong understanding of accounting principles and confidentiality are essential for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process
- Bookkeeping and monthly payroll services.
- Verify that transactions are recorded correctly in the general ledger
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial accounts
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Prepare and submit invoices, manage collections, and follow up on past-due accounts
- Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements
- Maintain financial records and ensure all files are organized and up to date
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting
- Support external audits and liaise with accountants or tax professionals as needed
Requirements:
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Knowledge and experience with accounting software (Xero)
- We also utilize Hubdoc which pairs with Xero.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- AAT qualification required.
