FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between IT and the business, ensuring that technology solutions align with business needs. You will be responsible for analysing data, identifying trends, and providing insights that drive strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
- Analyse data sets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and maintain database designs to support reporting and analytics.
- Create visualisations using Tableau to communicate findings effectively.
- Write SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from databases.
- Utilise programming languages such as R and Python for advanced data analysis.
- Employ VBA and Bash Unix shell scripting for automation of repetitive tasks.
- Document processes using Visio to ensure clarity and understanding across teams.
- Present findings and recommendations to management clearly and concisely.
Skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Proficiency in database design and management.
- Experience with Tableau for data visualisation.
- Solid understanding of SQL Server and ability to write complex SQL queries.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as R, Python, VBA, and Bash Unix shell scripting.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present information effectively.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
