FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a skilled and reliable builder and maintenance person to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse range of maintenance skills and be capable of performing various repair and improvement tasks in residential and commercial settings. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. We have homes in various locations and you will needs to be flexible in travelling between our various homes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct general maintenance and repairs on buildings, fixtures, and facilities.
- Perform plumbing tasks such as fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and installing fixtures.
- Carry out electrical repairs including changing light bulbs, replacing switches, and troubleshooting minor electrical issues.
- Execute carpentry work such as repairing doors, windows, and furniture.
- Paint interiors and exteriors as required to maintain aesthetics.
- Respond promptly to service requests from our team
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a builder or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of various repair techniques across multiple trades (plumbing, electrical, carpentry).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good physical condition and stamina to perform manual tasks.
- A valid driving licence is advantageous for travel between job sites.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
