We are looking for compassionate and caring individuals for our Residential Care Homes for Adults with Learning Disabilities and Mental Health that can make a real benefit to a vulnerable person’s life!

Main Duties
- At the start of the shift, get updates from the previous shift leader, plans for the day and communication book.
- To cover for absent or sick colleagues as requested.
- Being responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support.
- Assisting residents (Male and Female) with personal care tasks such as; bathing, dressing, oral care, toileting.
- Competently administer medication as directed by management.
- Arrange and coordinate in-house activities, community activities and outpatient appointments.
- Supporting the overall well-being of our residents and the service by completing tasks such as household and bedroom cleaning, meal preparation, laundry duties, toileting and shopping.
- Helping residents to maintain and develop relationships with family, friends, and other people important in their life.
- Ensure care plans and other information about how to support residents are followed and kept up to date.
- Be responsible for reporting any changes in the needs of residents.
- Report damage to residents belongings, company property and equipment to management, as well as maintenance issues.
Requirements
- Experienced in Residential Care; mental health and/or learning disabilities.
- You must have the right to work in the UK.
- Work either 8am-3pm or 3pm-8pm with 8am-8pm and 8pm-8am for night shifts. Staff must be able to work every other weekend.
- Understand the requirements of CQC and expected standards of work.
- Be devoted to helping improve the quality of life of vulnerable people with their preferences in mind to enhance their wellbeing.
- Be comfortable and confident working as part of a team or lone working.
- Be a role model for other carers and be an ambassador for the service.
