An opportunity has arisen for an individual to join a new team and ward that will care for patients from a variety of specialties and conditions pre- and post-surgery. The ward will be open 5 days per week – Monday to Friday and include day and nightshifts
The ward assistant role is pivotal in ward organisation & administrative duties. You will be expected to support the team by carrying out general clinical, administrative and housekeeping duties within a constantly changing environment.
We are looking for someone who is organised with excellent communication skills and good IT skills. Familiarity with NHS systems such as Trakcare, PECOS and SSTS would be beneficial and good time management & excellent telephone manner is required.
You will be required to undertake any necessary training, to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
