We are seeking a friendly, organised, and reliable Care Home Administrator to join our team at Hollywood Rest Home. This is a part-time role, offering flexibility across Monday to Friday within standard office hours.

 Responsibilities:

  • Provide essential administrative support to the care home team.
  • Answer and direct telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Competently use computer systems for data entry, record keeping, document preparation, emails, and internal care systems (computer experience is essential).
  • Assist with recruitment processes, including arranging interviews, processing references, and maintaining staff files.
  • Liaise with GPs and pharmacies to request medication as directed by senior carers.
  • Schedule and coordinate appointments for residents and liaise with families as required.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records for residents and staff, in line with GDPR and care home policies.
  • Undertake general office duties such as filing, photocopying, ordering supplies, and handling incoming and outgoing post.

Requirements:

  • Essential: Strong computer skills, with experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general administrative systems.
  • Excellent telephone manner and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and manage time effectively.
  • A positive, caring attitude with a commitment to confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Previous administrative experience in a care, health, or social care setting is preferred but not essential.
