As an established Marriage and Family Therapist in Private Practice, Mark had a vision that by uniting some of the finest therapists and nurse practitioners together WAVE would be able to offer clients the highest level of compassion, support, and wisdom for self growth and improvement, as well as to enhance relationships in their lives. It has always been Mark’s vision to grow the practice and when the time was right, expand into new locations.
Position Overview:
This Behavioral Health Administrative Assistant position involves frequent interaction and heavy telephone communication with providers, new referrals, current clients, and the billing department.
The Behavioral Health Administrative Assistant functions as a support position for the Behavioral Health department in meeting its clerical and customer service needs. In addition, the Behavioral Health Administrative Assistant must be able to communicate well and be able to establish rapport with patients and their families.
He/she/they must be sensitive to the needs of the mental health community.
He/she/they must be familiar with the goals and objectives of WAVE Therapy and PEAK Health Services and express a genuine enthusiasm for its success.
Responsibilities:
Provides administrative and clerical support for the Behavioral Health department, including correspondence, data input, filing, assembling files, and other duties.
Register new patients and update existing patients’ information, including the collection of all eligibility documents needed for outpatient benefits; create profiles other n internal system and send benefit details to clients.
Provides assistance in verifying insurance by communicating with a third-party party verification team.
Heavy phone contact with providers, insurance carriers, and patients/clients.
Communicate daily with the billing department and collaboratively work on tasks as needed.
Work closely alongside the lead intake coordinator/Project Manager.
Schedule intake clients for clinical liaison.
Attend 1 staff meeting per week.
Must be comfortable with a high volume of tasks and adjusting to changes.
Assist in other administrative duties as assigned.
Job Details:
Local to north county San Diego: Carlsbad, Oceanside, San Marcos, Encinitas, or nearby cities.
Remote position/work from home with occasional in-person office requirements
