Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide care and assistance to individuals in need. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in improving the quality of life for those who require support with daily activities. Responsibilities:
– Provide personal care and support to individuals in their homes or residential settings
– Assist with meal preparation, ensuring dietary requirements are met
– Administer medications according to prescribed instructions
– Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary
– Monitor and report any changes in the individual’s condition or behavior
– Provide emotional support and companionship
– Maintain a clean and safe environment for the individual
– Collaborate with healthcare professionals, such as nurses, to ensure coordinated care
Skills:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
– Compassion and empathy for individuals requiring support
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
– Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
– Experience in providing patient care, preferably in a nursing home or home care setting
– Knowledge of medication administration procedures
– Ability to drive and have a valid driver’s license
