Loughborough University has committed to being an internationally engaged research‐intensive university that delivers meaningful impact and keeps students at its heart.
The Global Impact Scholarship is one of the many practical steps for implementing the institution’s Creating Better Futures 2030 strategy while recognizing the importance of her external influence and the impact of her actions on the world around us and the challenges that face us as a society.
The University will award up to 25 scholarships, and the standards required are very high. Students will be expected to fund their travel and maintenance costs through other sources. Evidence of maintenance funds must be included in the scholarship application.
Eligibility Requirements for Loughborough University Global Impact Scholarship 2025
- Currently holding an offer (conditional or unconditional) for an eligible postgraduate taught program
- Currently domiciled (permanently living) in the country listed in the table below.
- Evidence of exceptional academic achievement (normally a first-class honors degree)
- Commitment to contribute to the development of your home country after graduation.*
- Full understanding of the costs involved in coming to study and live in the UK
- Evidence of strong motivation and initiative to secure funds to cover the remainder of the costs involved
- Applicants should be high caliber graduates with the personal, intellectual, and interpersonal qualities necessary for leadership and driving sustainable change within communities.

How to Apply for Global Impact Scholarship 2025
To apply for the Loughborough University Global Impact Scholarship, interested and qualified candidates should;

- Apply for a Master’s program at the institution and secure a placement.
- Students may only apply for the scholarship after an offer for a place in one of Loughborough University’s Master’s programs has been made.
- Students who have an offer (conditional or unconditional) of a place on a postgraduate taught course can apply for the scholarship using the application form which is available to complete below.
- Applications will be initially shortlisted and the final decision on the awards will be made by a selection panel of senior staff of the University.
- Applications will be reviewed during May and June 2025.
